Powered directly from the vehicle socket, so there is no separate charging routine.
EVO-CO2V plugs directly into a 12V/24V vehicle socket, samples CO₂ every 10 seconds and gives an audible alert above 1400 ppm.
The EvoDevice EVO-CO2V is a direct plug-in vehicle CO₂ monitor for compatible 12V/24V accessory sockets. It uses NDIR sensing, samples cabin carbon dioxide every 10 seconds, displays vehicle supply voltage, and gives an audible device alert above 1400 ppm. The rotatable color display is designed for continuous in-vehicle viewing without an internal rechargeable battery.
EVO-CO2V measures carbon dioxide (CO₂) only. It does not detect carbon monoxide (CO) and does not replace a certified CO alarm.
A fixed power point, fast sampling and a clear display make it practical for everyday vehicle use.
Powered directly from the vehicle socket, so there is no separate charging routine.
Frequent readings help you follow changing CO₂ conditions inside the cabin.
A beep sounds above 1400 ppm as a reminder to improve ventilation when safe.
The display head can be adjusted for different console layouts and accessory-socket positions.
The display keeps the two readings visible together so you can check cabin CO₂ and the vehicle supply voltage quickly.
After plugging in the meter, let the warm-up sequence complete before relying on the displayed cabin CO₂ value.
NDIR sensing passes infrared light through a gas chamber. CO₂ absorbs specific infrared wavelengths, allowing the sensor to estimate concentration.
Keep cabin CO₂ visible during normal driving and longer trips.
In one controlled in-car test series, EVO-CO2V recorded the approximate time for cabin CO₂ to reach the device's 1400 ppm alert level as occupant count increased.
This test illustrates why a dedicated in-car CO₂ display can be useful when windows are closed and cabin ventilation is limited.
These are measured results from one test setup, not universal predictions. Actual timing varies with vehicle volume, starting CO₂, outside-air intake, recirculation, leakage, occupant activity and other conditions.
Learn how recirculation, fresh-air ventilation, passenger count, air conditioning, cabin filters and air purifiers interact inside a vehicle — and what a CO₂ monitor can and cannot tell you.
EvoDevice's vehicle air quality guide explains cabin CO₂, recirculation vs. fresh-air mode, filtration, sensor placement, CO₂ trends and the important difference between CO₂ and carbon monoxide.

Cabin CO₂ rose from about 558 ppm to above 2,000 ppm in a little over two minutes in our five-person recirculation test.
See how cabin CO₂ changed when the vehicle switched from recirculation to outside-air ventilation in a real driving test.
In our recorded test, cabin CO₂ reached about 3,813 ppm while the climate-control display still showed recirculation.
After initial hot-cabin ventilation and A/C recirculation, EVO-CO2V displayed 1,034 ppm before we switched to fresh-air mode.
CO₂ fell from 3,344 ppm to 2,860 ppm after 12 minutes and remained above 2,800 ppm later in this parked, empty-cabin observation.
During our real test, cabin CO₂ still rose from about 735 ppm to about 1,407 ppm while the purifier was running.
No. EVO-CO2V measures carbon dioxide (CO₂). It is not a carbon monoxide detector.
No. It is powered directly from a compatible 12V/24V vehicle socket.
The device samples CO₂ every 10 seconds.
The high-CO₂ beep alert is triggered above 1400 ppm.
Yes. The display head can be rotated to suit different vehicle console positions.
Yes. The screen shows vehicle supply voltage together with the current cabin CO₂ reading.
Plug in EVO-CO2V, let the sensor stabilize and keep the current value in view.
EVO-CO2V measures carbon dioxide using NDIR sensing. It does not detect carbon monoxide and is not a replacement for a certified CO alarm. Review CO₂, CO, NDIR, ventilation and recirculation terminology in the glossary.
