EvoDevice
Solar Irradiance Data Logger

Know how much solar energy your site actually receives.

Measure real-time solar irradiance, track daily solar radiation energy, store up to 180 days of data, and export CSV files before you finalize panel placement or troubleshoot a solar setup.

Replace Guesswork With Data

Solar panels are expensive. Guessing at placement can be even more expensive.

A location that looks sunny at noon may receive less useful solar energy across the full day because of trees, buildings, roof orientation, weather, or seasonal changes.

Compare candidate locations

Measure before committing to a rooftop, shed, yard, RV, or off-grid setup.

See shading over time

Identify when sunlight rises, peaks, drops, or disappears during the day.

Separate sunlight from system issues

Use solar resource data as context when electrical output is lower than expected.

Leave EVO-Solar at the measurement location. Your phone does not need to stay beside it. Reconnect later to review and export recorded data.

Who It Is For

Built for people who need more than a single spot reading.

EVO-Solar is most useful when the goal is to record, compare, and analyze solar conditions over time.

Home Solar Planning

Evaluate roofs, yards, carports, and sheds before deciding where panels should go.

Installers & Technicians

Collect recorded irradiance data and export CSV files for comparison, reports, and site discussions.

RV & Off-Grid Solar

Compare campsite or panel locations and understand changes in available sunlight throughout the day.

System Troubleshooting

Check whether poor performance may be related to sunlight, shading, position, or the electrical system.

Real-Time Solar Irradiance

See when sunlight rises, peaks, and falls.

SRI shows solar irradiance in W/m². The daily curve makes changing sunlight conditions easier to understand than a single isolated number.

  • Identify peak sunlight hours.
  • See short-term effects from passing clouds or shading.
  • Compare the meter angle with the solar panel angle.
  • Export recorded values for further analysis.

Daily Solar Energy

Understand the total solar resource received each day.

DSRE accumulates solar radiation energy over the day and expresses it in kWh/m². It helps you compare clear days, cloudy days, seasonal changes, and different measurement locations.

  • Compare daily solar exposure instead of relying on one moment.
  • Evaluate the effect of weather and recurring shade.
  • Review monthly patterns and long-term changes.
  • Support data-based panel and storage planning.

CSV Data Export

Move recorded solar data from the field to your computer.

Review SRI and DSRE curves in the EvoDevice app, then export recorded measurements as CSV files for spreadsheet analysis, comparisons, and reports.

  • Review real-time and historical data in the app.
  • Export values for Excel or other spreadsheet software.
  • Compare dates, locations, angles, or operating conditions.
  • No cloud account or subscription is required.

Consistent Positioning

Match the meter orientation to the solar panel.

For fixed-position monitoring, EVO-Solar can mount on standard 1/2-inch PVC pipe. Position the pipe so the meter face stays parallel to the solar panel.

  • Suitable for rooftop, yard, shed, RV, and off-grid monitoring.
  • Helps maintain a consistent test angle over time.
  • Anti-slip pads also help the meter stay in place directly on a panel.
  • Compact setup for long-term outdoor measurements.
Simple Monitoring Workflow

Place it. Record. Reconnect and analyze.

The meter stores measurement data internally, so the phone does not need to remain nearby during the full monitoring period.

1

Place EVO-Solar

Position the sensor at the location and angle you want to evaluate.

2

Let It Record

Collect SRI and DSRE data over hours, days, or weeks without keeping the phone beside it.

3

Sync & Export

Reconnect by Bluetooth, review curves in the app, and export CSV files for analysis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Important details before you buy.

Does my phone need to stay connected while EVO-Solar is recording?

No. EVO-Solar stores measurement data in onboard memory. You can reconnect later to sync, review, and export the stored data.

What is the difference between SRI and DSRE?

SRI is the current solar irradiance in W/m². DSRE is the solar radiation energy accumulated across the day in kWh/m². Together they show both current conditions and the total daily solar resource.

Does EVO-Solar measure solar panel electrical output?

No. EVO-Solar measures incoming solar radiation, not panel voltage, current, or watt output. Electrical output is also affected by panel efficiency, temperature, wiring, inverter behavior, battery state, load, and other system conditions.

Can I export the recorded data?

Yes. SRI and DSRE data can be exported as CSV files for use in Excel or other spreadsheet and analysis software.

How should I position the meter for panel evaluation?

Keep the sensor face parallel to the solar panel. You can place it directly on a panel using the anti-slip pads or mount it on standard 1/2-inch PVC pipe for fixed-position monitoring.

Is EVO-Solar suitable for someone who only wants one instant reading?

It can display real-time SRI, but its strongest value is long-term recording, daily energy tracking, historical comparison, and CSV export. A basic handheld meter may be simpler for users who only need an occasional spot reading.

Measure Before You Commit

Use real solar data to make a better-informed decision.

Whether you are comparing panel locations, planning an RV or off-grid system, or investigating low output, EVO-Solar helps turn sunlight conditions into recorded data you can review.

Is EVO-Solar right for your project?

Tell us how you plan to monitor solar irradiance or daily solar energy. We can help you understand the measurement workflow, mounting options, app data, and CSV export.
